Effect: This is a very useful sleight. It is to have a card selected, placed in the middle of the deck, and then the rest of the cards get dribbled on top. But you still have total control over the card.
Performance: You start off by riffling down with your thumb, and when the spectator says stop, it looks like you lift off the top half of the deck, but what you really do, is lift off one card and immediatly get your thumb on top of the deck. So now your left with one card in your hand and the rest of the deck. You have them place their card back on top, then as you are coming over take about half the deck and dribble it on top. This was done as a convincer so that it looks like you are putting back back the top half of the deck. But it reality you have their card second from the top, and from then you can do whatever else you want with the card.
